This section of modest homes in Marina Del Rey, mostly built in the 1940’s and 50s, has seen an upsurge in renovations. East of Alla, north of Culver is the neighborhood.

I recently moved to Mar Vista from Palms, and I have to say that there are some impressive pieces of Modernism around here. I drive by one pretty much every day–it’s on Victoria Avenue somewhere between Centinela and Beethoven–and I should get a pic sometime.
