When A Mansion Wasn’t a "McMansion"

This “Moorish” styled mansion stood at Wilshire and Fairview in 1910. It’s an odd but well proportioned building, solidly balanced by a large turret and a central front porch and upstairs balcony.

Unlike today’s McMansions, this house is not walled off from the street, it embraces
it.
