Dog Welder has some interesting San Fernando Valley comparison photos from “yesterday” and “today”. They show how the banality and sprawl of four decades ago has largely been replaced…..by the banality and sprawl of today.

  1. I worked at the Lipson Pharmacy while in college. Lots of movie stars used to come in. The guys next door always gave me free hot fudge sundaes. Henry, the owner, was a nice man. Fun memories!!

  2. Thats an awesome picture, my mother used to go to that pharmacy, actually called Lipson Pharmacy, when I was a kid. Although thrifty mart was already pic n’ save by the time I was around!! If you have any more links to great 20’s – 60’s valley photography, please let me know!!
