The photographer’s back was to the entrance of Yamashiro. The house there is probably 2001 N. Sycamore Ave. You can get a nice birdseye view of it with maps.live.com.

According to Google maps, it’s in the hills just above Franklin. And I think the view is of Runyan Canyon park.
