Is it just my foolish and suspicious imagination that sees this tagged up tunnel as something which raises questions about security at Van Nuys Airport?

This is Sherman Way, just east of Hayvenhurst, and this is a view of what runs UNDER the airport runway at one of our busiest local airports. Obviously, the vandalized tunnel does not have video cameras or law enforcement eyes 24/7.

What other types of criminality exist along the periphery of the airport? And how easy might it be for other nefarious types to gain access onto the airport grounds?

This is evidence that security right on airport property needs to be stepped up again.
