Psychic Signs.



The strange proliferation of billboards and banners advertising psychic services, which are popping up in residential areas all over the San Fernando Valley, is not a fortuitous sign.

In Sherman Oaks [at 13076 Ventura] and Valley Glen, two examples of this malicious activity. If it is OK to advertise for this type of business, then perhaps screenwriters, plumbers, plastic surgeons and dentists can also erect huge signs on their homes.

Will the city eventually enforce those laws that prohibit illegal commercial signs in residential neighborhoods? Ask your local psychic.

    No. They are so good at what they do that they don’t waste their time on the small stuff. Since they can read the future, they mostly invest in stocks that will rise in value–that’s how come they are all so financially successful.

    I believe Code Enforcement takes care of this. The city is too big for them to go dauntingly house by house, so it is up to us, the citizens, to bring it to the City’s attention if we think something illegal is being done. This obviously lowers home values in the area. Where the heck is SOHA!?!?!

    My assumption is that these things are illegal, but there’s simply no enforcement on these things, and no money to pay for somebody to police these things.

    You want to see the flip side? Go to Beverly Hills, where there’s a municipal “sign police”. If your sign doesn’t conform to the code and sport a city approval sticker (licence), down it comes.
