We went to the open house at 11815 Laurelwood in Studio City yesterday and were pleasantly suprised at the architecture–modern, bright, not too stark or strange, very livable. Units (townhouses and apartments) start at about $760,000.

I had the same association with Disney when I walked in. I wonder how that surface will play out? It lights up the courtyard but it could also annoy the residents.

That looks pretty cool, but I hope the shiny surfaces don’t cause glare problems akin to those at Disney Hall.
