Even with the frantic, 60-year-old development binge that has transformed the San Fernando Valley from rural utopia to dysfunctional autopia, there are still pockets of “ruralism”.
I found this one behind Classic Nursery in Tsarzana. The photograph dates from 2008…not 1938.
Wouldn’t it be remarkable if the city zoned this land specifically for agriculture, and organic farming could be established here? Fresh fruits and vegetables grown for local consumption?
