These are the first townhouses that are now complete along the Orange Line Busway in Van Nuys. What I like about them is the exquisite classical detailing with proper proportions that is absent from most Ayatollah-ville condos in the Valley.
The developers have wisely done away with little used balconies, and the high windows on the first floor of these uniquely round buildings, let in a lot of light. Balboa Park is across the street in this view at Victory and Woodley looking east. A Trader Joes is just behind the townhouses and the Busway is across the road.
****An imaginary story.

D*mn! You fooled me. I was looking at the condos with stunned amazement trying to figure out how I’d missed their presence! lol! I was about to email the pic to a friend with a “look at these beautiful new condos in Van nuys”. 🙂

It’s called satire. I’m showing how things COULD look if we had development like this in Van Nuys.

Hmmm, not sure of the point then. Why waste the space with an “imaginary story”?

some folks seem to think this is in Europe and not in Van Nuys CA.
Can you confirm?

Van Nuys? It appears that the picture was taken in Europe (note the license plate of the auto and the traffic sign). Is there something similar that is in the planning stages for Van Nuys? And where?
